An intensive ballet programme for adult dancers held in August at Northeast Arts' Jamaica Plain studio, featuring technique classes, repertoire and variations taught by professional dancers, with optional somatic conditioning and a keepsake photoshoot. Northeast Arts Adult Summer Intensive offers comprehensive ballet training designed specifically for adult dancers. The programme runs for two weeks in August (August 12–16 and August 19–23, 2026), with classes Wednesday through Friday evenings (6:30–9pm) and Saturday and Sunday mornings (10:30am–2pm). Participants take small-group ballet technique classes followed by repertoire or variations sessions, with an optional performance opportunity on Sunday. The programme includes optional body awareness and somatic conditioning classes on weekends, and an additional keepsake photoshoot with a professional dancer photographer. Teachers are professional dancers experienced in working with adult students. Pointe work is not required but welcomed for those comfortable with center work en pointe.
