The North Brooklyn YMCA offers summer day camps for children ages 4-12, including traditional camp, kinder camp for pre-kindergarteners, and swim-focused camp. Sessions run in two-week blocks from late June through mid-August with activities in swimming, arts and crafts, science, and team building.
The North Brooklyn YMCA runs three types of summer day camps. Traditional Summer Camp for ages 6-10 features daily adventures with physical fitness, arts and crafts, science activities, and theme days, all built on the YMCA's core values of respect, caring, honesty, and responsibility. Kinder Camp for ages 4-5 is designed to prepare children entering kindergarten, with structured activities that build social and emotional skills through classroom structure, group play, and transitional activities. Swim Camp for ages 7-12 combines traditional day camp activities with specialized aquatic instruction, where campers are individually tested and receive tailored swim lessons from certified water safety instructors and lifeguards. All campers participate in instructional swim. Sessions run in two-week blocks from June 29 through August 21, 2026.
