Multi-week summer theatre camps for children grades 3-12 running July through mid-August in Montclair, offering acting fundamentals, scene study, improv, musical theatre and on-camera work through games, exercises and scene preparation.
NJSDA offers summer theatre camps for kids, tweens and teens (grades 3-12) from July 20th through August 14th, 2026. The Teen/Tween Intro to Acting Camp teaches students how to approach scripts by exploring fundamental acting questions: who, where, what, why and how. Students learn about the actor's physical resources of voice and movement, discover how action and behavior shape characterization, and work on monologues, scene study and acting exercises. The curriculum emphasizes building characters, playing objectives, overcoming obstacles and resolving conflict in scenes. Camps run for one-week sessions Monday through Friday.
