A two-week summer cooking camp in Manhattan for ages 10-15 that teaches real culinary skills including knife work, searing, frying, roasting, and baking, culminating in a week of preparing restaurant-quality dishes and friendly kitchen competitions.
My Cooking Party's Children's Culinary Academy offers a structured two-week summer program designed to teach children and teens genuine cooking techniques rather than simplified recipes. Week One focuses on fundamentals: knife skills, searing and sautéing, frying and steaming, roasting and poaching, and baking and grilling, with campers enjoying sit-down meals they prepare each day. Week Two involves executing more advanced dishes like filet mignon and apple tatin, with friendly competition, plating challenges, and presentation skills. The academy aims to train young chefs with skills they can use at home, inspired by cooking competition shows like Top Chef Junior and Chopped Junior.
