A summer hand-building and ceramics camp for kids and teens at Mud Clay Studio's Madison location, offering morning and afternoon sessions where children create clay projects using techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab work, with glazing on the final day.
Mud Clay Studio runs a summer camp with two programs: Hand Building Camp for artists entering 2nd grade and above, held mornings (9am–12pm) or afternoons (1pm–4pm) Monday through Friday, where children create functional and artistic pieces using hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling, and flattening slabs. Teen Mixed Ceramics Workshops for entering 8th graders and above offer afternoons (1pm–4pm) combining both wheel and hand-building projects. Both programs include a t-shirt, light snack, and all created pieces are glazed and ready for pickup five weeks after camp ends. Refunds are available if cancellation occurs seven or more days before the session starts.
