An eight-week traditional summer day camp on a 66-acre property in Orange County where children participate in swimming, archery, boating, fishing, art, drama, dance, engineering, and other outdoor activities across multiple age-based groups.
Mosholu Day Camp is a traditional day camp run by Mosholu Montefiore Community Center, offering eight weeks of summer programming for children organized by age groups: Rascals, Cubs, and Colts for younger children; Bobcats and Jaguars for middle-aged campers; Wolves and Coyotes for older children; and Ravens and Falcons for the oldest campers, plus a Leaders in Training program. The camp emphasizes instructional and free swimming, boating, fishing, art, drama, dance, fitness, pottery, Native American culture, engineering, orienteering, challenge and adventure activities, and music. Small group formats with high counselor-to-camper ratios enable children to advance their skills and form strong relationships with staff.
