A summer day camp for ages 2–14 combining Montessori education with traditional camp activities, field trips to New York City cultural institutions, and instruction in sports, arts, music and academics.
The Montessori School of New York International offers a summer program blending Montessori educational exercises with camp activities. Children enjoy weekly field trips to NYC attractions including the American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Aquarium, and Planetarium. The program includes sports instruction from visiting coaches in gymnastics, yoga, martial arts, tennis and chess, alongside music, movement, arts and crafts. Younger children receive Montessori preparation in reading and number work, while older students connect academics to field trips and science experiments. Rainy day activities include cooking, dance, and dramatic play. Swimming instruction and water play are available seasonally. The program concludes with an End-of-Camp Talent Show.
