A summer day camp in Stamford where children learn horseback riding and complete horsemanship through hands-on experience, including daily riding lessons, feeding, grooming, tacking and stall care.
Mead Farm's Summer Own-Your-Own-Horse Program is a day camp designed for participants of all riding levels, from beginners to experienced riders. Each day includes a one-hour riding lesson, feeding the horse, mucking stalls, grooming, tacking and untacking. Children can sign up for any combination of days or weeks during the summer season. The program is taught by knowledgeable instructors in a family-friendly atmosphere at one of Stamford's oldest horse riding establishments, operating since 1928.
