A summer swim camp in McCook offering weekday morning and evening sessions for children ages 3 and up, with instruction tailored to beginner and advanced swimmers across different age groups. Also runs: Max Aquatics Winter Break Swim Camp.
Max Aquatics Summer Learn to Swim Program runs weekly sessions Monday through Friday, with morning camps from 10:00-10:45 AM or 11:00-11:45 AM, and evening camps Monday through Thursday from 4:30-5:15 PM or 5:30-6:15 PM. Each 45-minute session includes instruction appropriate to skill level, with beginner swimmers learning paddles, kicks and floating progressing to freestyle, while advanced swimmers work on rhythmic breathing and multiple strokes including freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. Classes are organized by age with appropriate student-to-teacher ratios: 3:1 for ages 3-5, 4:1 for ages 5-7, and 5:1 for ages 8+. Children are evaluated on the first day to ensure appropriate placement.
