Maplewood School Summer Program

Maplewood's summer program takes advantage of warm weather to move activities outdoors, combining traditional camp activities with swim instruction, cooperative games, team sports, and field trips. The camp runs age-appropriate programming designed for success at every level, with specially adapted equipment and lowered baselines to ensure all children can participate effectively. Swimming is a cornerstone of the program, with instruction in both a senior pool and aqua tot pool, an American Red Cross certified aquatics director, daily swim time split between instruction and free swim, and a water slide. The program emphasizes teamwork, fair play and cooperation over competitive outcomes, with activities including basketball, lacrosse, soccer, flag football, baseball, field hockey, volleyball, kickball, softball, aerobics, dance, art, drama, music, nature and science, cooking, photography, computers, and STEM. Field trips to local museums and parks are included. Bus service is available on a limited, first-come basis.
