A nine-week Chinese language and culture day camp in Wayne running June through August for children ages 3–13, with daily lessons in Chinese, drawing, karate, folk dance, math and games, plus enrichment options in writing, math and fencing taught separately.
Main Line Chinese Culture Center runs its summer camp at the United Church of Christ at Valley Forge in Wayne, Pennsylvania. The camp offers Chinese language and cultural lessons, drawing, karate, Chinese folk dance, math, games, and physical education. Children can register for full days (8am–6pm), three-quarter days (8am–3:30pm), or half days (8am–1pm), and can enroll week-by-week or in two-week sessions with discounts. The camp also offers separate enrichment sessions: an English writing camp taught by a Pennsylvania certified language arts teacher focusing on essay forms and creative writing; a math enrichment camp taught by a college professor covering arithmetic, geometry, and algebra depending on grade level; and a fencing camp for ages 7–14 taught by a YMCA fencing coach with 20+ years of experience. Campers can mix and match the different programs throughout the day.
