Lindgren Summer Camp

Lindgren Summer Camp is a traditional day camp running two three-week sessions in June and July, Monday through Thursday. Campers ages 4–9 are organized into troops with counselors, while 3-year-olds attend Hill Camp on a separate acre with specialized staff, and returning 10–11-year-olds join Expeditioner Camp for field trips and local hiking. The camp offers daily Red Cross-certified swim lessons, an extensive arts programme including drawing, painting, weaving, printmaking and batik, stitchery and beading, woodworking, and cooking. Nature activities include interaction with farm animals, daily explorations at the adjacent Closter Nature Center, and stream walking. Children choose their activities each day within a structured framework of morning roll call, swim lessons, and lunch.
