Lincoln-Way Youth Flag Football teaches football fundamentals in a safe, non-contact environment using a flag football format that requires no helmets or pads. The league emphasizes proper technique, sportsmanship, and reduced contact while maintaining competitive play. Age-appropriate divisions range from Pee Wee (6–8) through Senior (11–13), with girls-only options available starting at age 8. All players participate in a league-run draft in late July to balance teams. Practices meet twice weekly on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday evenings beginning late July, with games held typically on Saturday mornings for co-ed divisions and Sunday mornings for girls divisions. The season concludes with a single-elimination tournament where all players receive commemorative awards and championship teams receive rings.
