An 8-9 week summer day camp for current and prospective students at Laren Montessori School, combining Montessori classroom instruction with group activities like art, yoga, water play, sports, and field trips to Chicago-area attractions.
Laren Montessori's summer program extends the regular school year curriculum to keep children's progress moving forward during the summer months. The full-day program runs from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with before and after care available. Mornings focus on Montessori lessons and garden work, while afternoons feature group activities including art, yoga, water play, bicycle and scooter riding, and sports based on weekly themes. Field trips occur 4-5 times throughout the summer to destinations like Navy Pier, Chicago Nature Museum, Lincoln Park Zoo, and Brookfield Zoo. Weekly tennis lessons are available through Live 4 Tennis. The program is taught by Laren Montessori School staff.
