A German-immersion summer day camp in Brooklyn for ages 1 and up, running June through August with two tracks: WaldKinder explores nature in Prospect Park and Coney Island, while SommerKinder offers hands-on outdoor and indoor activities including gardening, water play, and field trips to parks and beaches. Also runs: KinderHaus MiniCamps 2026/27.
KinderHaus SummerProgram 2027 runs eight weeks from June 28 through August 20, with daily care from 9 AM to 5 PM. WaldKinder (ages 3–8, potty trained) spends mornings fully outdoors in Prospect Park, tracking animals, climbing trees, building nature forts, and creating art from natural materials, with later-summer beach trips to Coney Island. SommerKinder (ages 1+) participates in weekly themed activities including gardening, yoga, bread baking, water tables, painting, and crafts. Both groups enjoy weekly field trips to splash parks, botanical gardens, bakeries, and farmer's markets, plus camp-wide traditions like obstacle courses, talent shows, and weekly ice cream truck visits. German language immersion is woven throughout, with no prior knowledge required.
