A flexible art camp in Amityville for ages 6–12 running Mondays through Thursdays in July and August, with daily rotating themes including mixed media, drawing, painting, and surprise projects.
Key to My Art offers flexible summer art camp where children choose which days to attend. The camp runs from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, from July 8 through August 22. Each day focuses on a different medium: Mondays feature mixed media using collages, drawing, painting, and oil pastels; Tuesdays offer surprise crafty projects or canvas painting; Wednesdays focus on drawing with pencils, crayons, markers and pastels; and Thursdays feature watercolor and acrylic painting. Children can purchase class packs at a 10% discount, bringing the cost of individual 2-hour sessions to $40. The studio is run by Riesa Fischer, a New York State certified art teacher and art therapist with a Master's degree in Art Therapy.
