Kew Kids Forest School Summer Camp

Kew Kids Forest School runs an 8-week summer camp from late June through late August divided into four 2-week themed sessions. Campers ages 1–3 can attend School Camp or Wallenberg Camp, while ages 4–8 join Overlook Camp, and ages 7–12 can take Survival Camp focusing on wilderness skills and self-reliance. The program also offers Spanish and Mandarin language-immersion camps for ages 2–8. Children spend their time outdoors except during naps, exploring Forest Park's 165 acres of forest on trails and in meadows. Activities include nature games, art in nature, hiking, tracking, waterplay, gardening, wildcrafting, and building skills. Prior theme weeks have included Nature Detectives, Digging for Dinosaurs, Animal Superpowers, and Muck & Slime. A 1-week mini camp runs at the end of August. Full-day camp runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and half-day runs 8 a.m. to noon. Families can enroll for the full eight weeks, any two-week combination, or just the mini camp.
