Week-long culinary day camps where children ages 5 and up participate in daily cooking classes organized around culinary themes, learning knife skills, food preparation, recipe reading, and kitchen safety while creating dishes to take home.
Kate Sonders Solomon offers kids cooking camps with sessions running 3-4 hours daily. Children ages 5 and up, including teens, gather in groups of at least five to explore culinary themes each day. Classes focus on developing knife skills, measuring, recipe reading, and basic kitchen safety while strengthening fine-motor skills. Students smell, taste, and touch raw ingredients and enjoy their creations at the end of each lesson. All fresh ingredients and equipment are provided, and recipes are given to students after each session. Classes are held in home kitchens or rental spaces in the Westchester area and surrounding regions.
