A four-week Arabic immersion day camp in Montgomery County where children ages 6–14 learn Modern Standard Arabic and Shami dialect through play-based STEAM activities, including hands-on projects, outdoor fun, field trips, and a market simulation called As-Souq.
Kalimah's signature STEAM Summer Camps offer immersive Arabic language learning through play, outdoor activities, role-play, songs, dances, movement, and crafting. Campers engage in themed STEAM projects such as Chef Scientists, Building Engineers, and Souq Entrepreneurs, making connections between historical culture and modern innovation. Children create products to trade at As-Souq, a market simulation that teaches economics and cultural concepts. The camp integrates field trips, guest speakers, collaborative projects, and unstructured play time. Campers hear Arabic 90% of the time from staff and are encouraged to speak it themselves. Extended care hours are available for additional fees.
