A four-week summer dance intensive for ages 12–15 at The Ailey School in New York City. Students train in ballet, Horton, Graham, Limón, jazz, contemporary, and West African dance with daily technique classes and masterclasses. Also runs: Professional Division Summer Intensive at The Ailey School.
The Junior Division Summer Intensive is a four-week training program for students ages 12 to 15 with at least three years of dance experience. Located in the heart of New York City at The Joan Weill Center for Dance, students immerse themselves in comprehensive dance training. The curriculum includes ballet, Horton, Graham, Limón, jazz, contemporary, and West African techniques, with daily technique classes and weekly masterclasses taught by distinguished faculty. Students are placed in class levels based on their skill and experience determined during audition.
