A musical theatre performance program for children ages 5–18 in Glen Cove, Long Island, where students audition, learn singing, dancing, and acting, then perform in fully produced musicals with live bands, costumes, and professional staging.
Jazz Hands Youth Theatre offers musical theatre performance classes where students ages 5–18 experience the complete process of bringing a musical to life. Each session begins with auditions on the first day, followed by casting and rehearsals where students learn music, choreography, blocking, acting, and character development. Throughout the program, students work with teaching artists to develop performance skills, confidence, teamwork, and stage presence. Every student receives a featured part in the production and performs in a fully staged musical at the Glen Cove Performing Arts Center with professional lighting, sound, costumes, scenery, and a live band. Programs include Fall 2026 Musical Theatre Performance (ages 8+), Little Jazz Hands (ages 5–7), Teen Company (ages 13+), and Cabaret Club (ages 8+), with classes held on weekday evenings or Saturday mornings.
