The Jamaica YMCA runs traditional day camps for children ages 4-15 throughout the summer, including specialized sessions focused on swimming, sports, and arts. Campers participate in physical activities, arts and crafts, science, and theme days while building social and emotional skills.
Jamaica YMCA offers several summer camp programs running in two-week sessions from late June through mid-August. Traditional Summer Camp for ages 6-10 features daily activities in physical fitness, arts and crafts, science, and theme days, with instructional swim for all campers. Kinder Camp for ages 4-5 is designed to prepare children for kindergarten through structured activities focusing on social-emotional development, physical fitness, interactive science, literacy, and arts and crafts. Swim Camp for ages 6-8 combines traditional day camp fun with specialized aquatic instruction, with swimmers individually tested and placed in skill-appropriate levels. The camp also offers Sports Camp for ages 9-11 and Teen Camp for ages 12-15. All camps focus on the YMCA's core values of respect, caring, honesty, and responsibility, and create an inclusive environment for building friendships and lifelong memories.
