A six-week pre-professional ballet summer intensive for ages 11-15 designed to prepare young dancers for professional ballet schools, college performing arts programs, or professional ballet careers, with small class sizes and personalized instruction.
Illinois Classical Ballet, recognized as a YAGP Outstanding Ballet School, offers a summer pre-professional training program running June 16 through July 26, 2025. The intensive serves dancers aged 11-15 and is limited to 12 students per class for personalized attention. The curriculum includes ballet technique, pointe work, classical variations, repertoire and choreography, character dance, and conditioning. Participation requires an in-person audition and acceptance. Dancers who complete the summer session may join the year-round program without an additional audition.
