Summer camp visits to this Yonkers museum featuring planetarium shows and hands-on science workshops. Groups choose between 1-hour planetarium programs or 2-hour combined experiences with interactive activities exploring space, planets, and astronomy, running Tuesdays through Fridays from July through August.
Hudson River Museum welcomes camp groups for visits during summer, operating Tuesdays through Fridays, July 7 through August 21. Camps select from multiple planetarium shows tailored to different grade levels, from Pre-K through Grade 12, covering topics like the solar system, space missions, and astronomy. For longer engagement, 2-hour experiences pair a planetarium show with hands-on workshops where children build and launch rockets, create planet models, design galaxy lanterns, or investigate planetary properties. All planetarium shows include live question-and-answer sessions. The museum accommodates up to 120 participants for planetarium-only visits and up to 60 for combined experiences. Required chaperone ratios vary by age group. Advance reservations are essential, recommended at least six weeks ahead, with a 50% deposit required two weeks before the visit.
