Healthy Kids Running Series is a five-week running program held once per week in the fall (and spring at other locations). Children compete in age-appropriate running events including 50 and 75 yard dashes, quarter-mile, half-mile, and one-mile runs. Participants earn points based on their finishes, receive race bibs each week, a runner shirt, and a finisher medal after all five weeks. The program includes an adaptive Challenger Division with a 75-yard race designed for children with disabilities and special needs, allowing supporters on the course and the use of assistive devices. Awards and trophies are given to top finishers in divisions organized by grade and gender.
