The Harlem YMCA offers summer day camps for children ages 4–14 in traditional, swim-focused, and adventure specializations. Sessions run in two-week blocks from late June through mid-August with activities including swimming, arts and crafts, sports, STEM, and team building.
Harlem YMCA runs three main summer camp tracks: Traditional Summer Camp (ages 6–14) with daily activities in physical fitness, arts and crafts, science, and theme days; Swim Camp (ages 7–12) combining aquatic skill-building with arts and crafts and science activities; and Kinder Camp (ages 4–5) designed to prepare children for kindergarten entry with structured activities, social-emotional learning, and interactive play. New for 2026, Adventure Camps offer specialized tracks including Big Messy Art, Zookeepers, Basketball Academy, Soccer Academy, Swim+STEM, and Swim+Art for children wanting to dive deeper into specific interests. All camps focus on the YMCA's core values of respect, caring, honesty, and responsibility. Camp runs June 29 through August 21 in four two-week sessions (closed July 3), with core hours 9 am–5 pm and optional extended hours 8–9 am and 5–6 pm.
