Happy Montessori School Summer Day Camp

Happy Montessori's summer day camp operates at the historic Sands Point Preserve, providing a nurturing, non-competitive environment for young children. Each week features a theme—such as Dinosaurs or The Beach—that guides art activities, songs, games, and stories. The daily schedule includes artistic expression, safe water play using sprinklers and water tables, non-competitive athletics like duck-duck-goose and ball games, music, and stories. Children also participate in hands-on science activities and athletic classes with FAST, a local sports provider. The Outdoor Learning Center offers sensory materials and access to trails, a freshwater pond, mature forest, and meadow. Air-conditioned rooms in a historic stone castle provide indoor space when weather is poor. Staff include early childhood education teachers, many of whom teach at the school during the academic year, plus college student assistants. Transportation on air-conditioned buses with teacher drivers is available.
