A summer training program for hammer throwers ages 13 through 19 held at Hammerman Field in Aurora, IL. The program focuses on teaching proper technique and developing strength to help young athletes obtain college scholarships, with regular competitions throughout the summer.
Hammerman USA offers hammer throw training during the summer at Hammerman Field, one of the finest throwing facilities in the Midwest. The program is designed for young athletes ages 13-19 who want to develop the skill, speed, strength and power needed for competitive hammer throwing. In addition to training sessions, the organization hosts throws-only competitions on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evening all-comers meets to give young throwers competition experience. The program emphasizes that hammer throwing is a safe sport with less high school competition than other throwing events, making college scholarships more accessible for skilled athletes.
