A summer fishing camp in Fairfield County where children aged 8 to 13 learn casting, knot-tying, fish identification and safe handling during four-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with transportation to local fishing spots included.
Get Schooled Academy is Fairfield County's original fishing camp, founded by two teachers and a retired police officer. Campers fish every day of their week-long session, learning practical skills including casting techniques, knot tying, equipment care, and safe fish extraction. The camp provides individual attention from dedicated instructors, all gear and bait, and transportation from the meeting point to various fishing locations based on weather and tides. Sessions run from 8 AM to 12 PM, Monday through Thursday, with Friday as a rain day.
