A summer speed skating program for youth of any age at Franklin Park Ice Rink, featuring dryland training and on-ice practice sessions led by Level 2 and Level 3 certified coaches with low coach-to-skater ratios.
Franklin Park Speed Skating Club's summer program runs from June 4 through July 30, 2026, with dryland training starting at 6:30 pm and on-ice practice from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm each session. The club, established over 25 years ago, focuses on developing speed skaters of any age to reach their potential in short track speedskating. Highly-trained, certified coaches maintain low coach-to-skater ratios to ensure individual attention and skill development. The club has produced National Champions and Olympians, and welcomes beginners who can bring their own skates (hockey or figure skates), helmet, gloves, and knee pads.
