An eco-conscious day camp on Blue Rock School's 5-acre wooded campus where children ages 5–10 explore nature through weekly themes like woodland habitats and shelter building, with art projects using natural materials and hands-on gardening and environmental learning.
Forest Play is a nature-based summer day camp led by experienced Blue Rock School teachers. Children spend the summer on the school's wooded 5-acre campus exploring and learning about the natural world. Weekly themes include woodland habitat exploration, adventure and shelter building, and forest skills. Activities incorporate art projects using flowers, wood and natural clay, caring for vegetable and pollinator gardens, and mindful outdoor play. The program emphasizes sustainable practices, with children learning through harvesting natural resources on campus, composting, and reusing materials. Sessions run Monday through Thursday, with optional Friday play days available.
