Flute Haven Leadership & Musicianship Program

Flute Haven is a leadership and musicianship programme designed for Native American flute players and community music circle leaders. The week-long residential programme provides instruction from six dedicated staff members plus a flutemaker-in-residence, with a maximum of 24 participants to ensure personal attention and musical growth. Participants spend most of the week playing and learning through experiential practice rather than lecture-based teaching. The curriculum includes flute technique development, jamming with other instruments (percussion, keyboard, strings, and voice), and hands-on experience leading flute circles with staff guidance. The programme also offers optional exploration of therapeutic music applications with two music therapists on staff. All meals are provided on-site at the retreat center, and participants receive complimentary programme materials including a 65 GB USB drive of digital resources, a reference flute, and music recordings.
