A day camp at Powisset Farm in Dover for ages 6-14 combining farm activities with animals, forest exploration, and cooking in a teaching kitchen on a 109-acre working farm.
Farmer, Forester, Chef! at Powisset Farm offers campers the chance to experience working farm life, woodland exploration, and culinary arts. Junior farmers (ages 6–11) participate in composting, planting, harvesting, and caring for the farm's livestock including pigs, sheep, and goats. In the kitchen, campers prepare healthy meals using farm-fresh ingredients. In the woods, younger campers explore Powisset's nature trails while older campers venture to neighboring Noanet Woodlands to hike and discover woodland flora and fauna. A new Teen Farm & Forest Stewards program for ages 12–14 (Week 8 only) includes extended hikes, beginner carpentry and beekeeping, and outdoor pizza oven activities. The camp runs weekly sessions from June 22 through August 14, with a special gluten-free week in Week 8.
