Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education runs nine weeks of summer hockey camps for Philadelphia youth ages 5–16, combining on-ice and off-ice skill development with life skills sessions, academic activities, and field trips to local institutions.
Ed Snider's summer programming welcomes over 500 student-athletes annually across nine weeks. Campers participate in daily on-ice and off-ice hockey practices designed to build skills and game-like competency, along with life skills sessions that emphasize teamwork and character development. The program includes field trips to venues like the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Zoo, and Citizens Bank Park. Special sessions include the Bernie Parent Goaltending Camp at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, New Jersey, and the Pat Capone Memorial Camp. An overnight sleepaway component at Camino Farms combines hockey with outdoor activities, arts and crafts, pickleball, soccer, basketball, and yoga. The program is free to qualifying Philadelphia residents.
