A summer program for students entering kindergarten through eighth grade that combines reading and math instruction with hands-on STEM activities centered on environmental themes, plus an afternoon Spanish language component called Camp Olé for eligible students.
District 33's Summer School keeps learning active during summer break with engaging instruction that strengthens reading and math skills. Students participate in reading and writing practice, targeted math support, and hands-on STEM-based activities all connected to a Saving Our Planet theme. The program includes Camp Olé, an afternoon Spanish language enrichment session offered during the final week where students build vocabulary and language skills through intentionally designed environmental activities. Sixth-grade students have opportunities to serve as peer leaders and volunteers.
