A two-week STEM summer camp in Boston for ages 5–12 where children engage in hands-on engineering and design thinking across themes like animal advocacy, color and illusion, and miniature design, with field trips to museums and science centers.
Design at Advent is The Advent School's dynamic summer STEM program offering immersive two-week sessions from June through July. Children ages 5–12 explore three rotating themes—Animal Advocates, Color & Illusion, and Make It Miniature—developing problem-solving skills through hands-on engineering and design thinking. The program emphasizes the design process of imagining, sketching, building, testing, and improving ideas. A highlight is field trips throughout Boston to museums, science centers, local parks, and community spaces where students meet scientists, designers, and artists while connecting classroom learning to real-world STEM careers. Located near the Charles MGH station, the program combines urban exploration with creative, supportive community learning.
