An eight-week summer camp in Harding Township for children ages 3–13, combining Montessori-based learning with outdoor exploration around a central theme. Families can attend full or half days, for any number of weeks, with mixed-age groups learning literacy, math, science, and social studies through play-based activities.
Deep Roots School's summer camp runs for eight weeks in July and August. The program features an overarching theme that changes yearly—in 2026, "Community Builders" explores different career paths and community roles through collaborative play and hands-on projects. Children ages 3–13 learn together outdoors and split into preschool and elementary groups indoors, engaging with Montessori materials designed for their developmental stages. The curriculum emphasizes authentic, student-centered learning in literacy, math, social studies, geography, and science. Special guest visitors from various professions enrich the experience throughout the summer. The school's regular teachers facilitate the program in intentionally designed indoor and outdoor spaces, using a low-transition schedule that encourages deep exploration of topics that capture children's interests.
