Summer dance intensives for children and teens ages 4-18 in classical ballet and contemporary technique, with programs ranging from a themed dance camp for younger children to audition-based intensives for older dancers, held at the center in Holliston.
Dancing Arts Center offers several summer dance programs. The Intermediate & Advanced Intensive Programs serve ages 11-18 by audition only, running for 5 weeks (July 6–August 7), 3 weeks (July 6–24), or 2 weeks (July 27–August 7). The core curriculum includes daily classical ballet technique, pointe/pre-pointe, variations, repertoire, modern and contemporary dance, and conditioning, with performances at the end of weeks 3 and 5. A Children's Nutcracker Themed Dance Camp (ages 4-8) runs August 17-20 for four days in mornings only, with auditions for a Nutcracker production following. An Introductory Level 4-week class session serves ages 6-9 on Wednesday evenings in July and August. All programs are taught by the center's professional educators and special guest teachers.
