A cooperative, non-competitive summer day camp for children ages 8–15 that emphasizes social skills development and group participation through physical activities, arts and crafts, field trips, and swimming. The program is designed especially for children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and anxiety, though no formal diagnosis is required.
Creative Adventures is a full-day summer camp run by Academy MetroWest, a children's group therapy program specializing in social skills development. The camp uses over 150 Academy MetroWest-created, non-competitive activities to help children build confidence and improve social interaction. Staff are professional counselors who work to create an inclusive, supportive community of no more than 24 participants at a time. The program includes instructional and free swim, cooperative games, arts and crafts, field trips, team sports, and performing arts. Children must enroll for a minimum of two consecutive weeks. The camp operates Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from July 6 to August 21, 2026, across seven weeks. Transportation must be arranged by parents, though the camp facilitates carpooling. Activities take place at the Sudbury facility and at various state parks and local recreational facilities, including an outdoor pool complex.
