Country Meadows Montessori Summer Camp

Country Meadows Montessori has offered summer camp for over thirty years in Lake County. The camp runs for 10 weeks from June 1st through August 7th, with flexible enrollment options including the full 10-week program, a 5-week program, or a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks. Three age levels are offered: Primary (ages 3-6), Lower Elementary (ages 6-9), and Upper Elementary (ages 9-13). At the primary level, children explore the natural world through butterfly metamorphosis, fossil and insect study, gardening, bird watching, and animal tracking. A transitional summer camp is available for students entering first grade, with mornings focused on reading, writing, and math, and afternoons devoted to art, music, sports, and cultural lessons. Elementary campers extend their learning outdoors with special projects, Thursday special events, and Friday field trips including bi-weekly swimming pool visits. All children are welcomed, and prior Montessori experience is not required.
