A series of themed day camps at a historic working farm where children aged 7-15 engage in hands-on colonial skills including hearth cooking, textile work, blacksmithing, farm animal care, and outdoor exploration, running Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM during summer weeks.
Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead runs five themed summer camps, each focusing on different aspects of 18th-century farm life. Colonial Life camp introduces campers to colonial America through activities like candle dipping, quill writing, ropemaking, and blacksmithing. Revolutionary Farmers explores farm life during the Revolutionary War era. Intensive Farm Camp offers deeper engagement with heritage-breed animal care and crop work for older campers. Colonial Nature Camp combines history with environmental exploration. Trades Camp focuses on skilled crafts and handmade products. All camps run 9 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday at the farmstead in Ridley Creek State Park, include an afternoon snack, supervised free time, and water activities in the farm's stream.
