A day and sleepaway camp in New York City for ages 9–17 offering Chinese language, history, culture and literature classes through project-based learning and exploration, with sessions connecting U.S. and Chinese cultures.
Shining Future's Chinese Summer Exploration Camp immerses students ages 9–17 in an authentic Chinese cultural experience at New York University. The camp offers Chinese language, history, culture, and literature classes tailored to all proficiency levels, from absolute beginner to advanced. Using project-based and experiential learning, students engage with native speakers and explore themes connecting Chinese and U.S. cultures. Session I focuses on China in NYC as a global citizen experience, while Session II explores Chinese culture, cuisine, clothing and environment. Day camp runs Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm, while sleepaway students are housed in university dormitories in the Financial District with 24/7 security.
