A six-week summer programme for Chicago youth ages 14–15 offering three tracks: intro to coding with Arduino, mural and public art creation, and job preparedness skills, along with mental health support and financial literacy.
Chicago Youth Works is a summer initiative offered by Options for Youth in partnership with the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services. From late June through early August, participants aged 14–15 choose from three programme tracks: Intro to Coding & Electronics, Mural and Art projects at Little Village High School, or Job Preparedness Skills. In addition to their chosen track, all participants engage in mental health care, financial learning workshops (including sessions with Huntington Bank), and career exploration through My CHI.MyFuture. The programme emphasises building confidence and developing practical skills for school, work, and life.
