A three-day jazz dance convention held in July for dancers ages 5 and up, featuring classes taught by professional faculty, performances, and optional competitions organized by level and age group.
Chicago Dance Connection Jazz Camp runs July 10-12 each year at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg. Dancers are organized into age-based levels: Petite (ages 5-7), Mini (ages 8-10), Student (ages 10-13), Intermediate (ages 13-15), and Advanced (ages 15+). Each level participates in jazz classes with professional faculty and has the opportunity to perform routines at the wrap-up session on Sunday. Dancers can compete in the convention's competitions, and scholarships are awarded based on evaluations throughout the weekend.
