Camp Summerset is a nonprofit reading and writing summer camp founded in 1991 that believes learning should be fun and vibrant. Children spend mornings in guided reading and writing instruction organized around themes like "Adventures Through Stories," with activities both indoors and outdoors by the stream. Afternoons feature enrichment programs in art, nature, sports, music, and STEM, with all campers rotating through each activity over the three-week session. The camp serves children entering kindergarten through 5th grade, with a special middle school leadership program for grades 6-8. Master teachers and trained high school volunteers (many former campers) lead small groups with individual attention and support.
