A six-week summer day camp on Stiles Pond serving CREST Collaborative students with complex needs including significant health impairments and emotional and behavioral challenges. Students participate in waterfront activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing with low student-to-staff ratios and certified lifeguards.
Camp Stepping Stone is operated by CREST Collaborative as part of its extended school year (ESY) program on a waterfront site in Boxford. The camp provides full access to all waterfront activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, with eight air-conditioned cabins. Students from CREST's summer school classrooms are transported weekly to the camp. A low student-to-staff ratio and full-time American Red Cross-certified lifeguards ensure campers' complex needs are met. The camp serves hundreds of CREST students with diagnoses ranging from significant health impairments to emotional and behavioral challenges, providing many with their first outdoor camp experience.
