Camp River is a seven-week summer day camp in Washington, DC for children ages 3 to 10, organized by age group around weekly themes with creative, intellectual, and physical activities including cooking, building projects, and campwide events.
Camp River runs from late June through early August for children ages 3 to 10 (rising Preschool through rising Grade 4). Campers are organized into age-based groups and explore new topics and challenges focused on weekly themes with special campwide events throughout the summer. The camp provides a balanced schedule of creative, intellectual, and physical activities designed to build summer friendships, continue learning, and create lasting memories. Activities range from cooking projects like crab croissants to building challenges like Jello-LEGO forts, along with annual events such as glo-parties. Vaccination requirements and health forms are required for attendance, and all campers must be toilet trained.
