Camp Ramayana is a month-long summer arts immersion for children ages 4–18 combining South Indian Kuchipudi dance, yoga, storytelling, Indian martial arts, mask making, creative writing, and folk arts, culminating in a Ramayan play performance.
Held June 22–July 17, 2026, Camp Ramayana offers a 9 am to 4 pm daily programme rooted in South Indian classical dance traditions. Mornings include yoga and meditation, storytelling from guest artists, and Kuchipudi dance instruction from gurus Nilimma Devi and Anila Kumari. After a noon lunch and rest break, afternoons feature continued dance practice, Indian martial arts (Thang-ta), and workshops with guest artists including world music experts, mathematicians, and local educators. Over the four weeks, campers develop skills in multiple arts forms and collaborate to stage their own Ramayan play, with a book fair showcasing campers' creative writing and art projects for family and friends.
