Camp Excel Social Skills Summer Camp

Camp Excel offers a comprehensive summer program for children ages 5-18 with mild special needs who have social skill challenges. The camp creates a therapeutic, safe environment where children learn social skills through structured, interactive groups each day with master's-level therapists, using therapeutic games, role play, and group discussion. The program runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from late June through late July at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ. Campers can attend for a minimum of two weeks up to the full six weeks. Activities include swimming, off-site trips, arts and crafts, cooking, science and nature programs, and special events. Camp Excel maintains a high staff-to-camper ratio with small groups of 6-12 children, an all-adult staff including directors, master's-level therapists, a full-time registered nurse, and counselors who are mostly certified teachers. All new campers require an interview to ensure the program meets their needs. Safety is prioritized with NJ Department of Health certification, fingerprinted staff with background checks, locked doors, visitor check-ins, and on-site nursing care. The camp is peanut-free and staff are trained in EpiPen use.
