A summer day camp in Manhattan for children ages 2.8–12 that combines field trips to NYC's museums, zoos, and cultural institutions with on-site activities including swimming, arts, music, sports, and special events.
Caedmon Discovery Camp offers a six-week summer program running weekdays from June 29 through August 7. Campers are organized into age groups—Staten Island Frogs (2.8–3), Brooklyn Beavers (4), Manhattan Monkeys (5), Bronx Bees (6–7), and Queens Penguins (8–12)—each with developmentally appropriate activities. The younger groups take one to two field trips per week, while older groups take up to three, visiting the Empire State Building, Coney Island Aquarium, Bronx Zoo, and New York Hall of Science. On-site days feature swimming, arts and crafts, movement, music, science, tennis, and courtyard games. Half-day and full-day options are available for the youngest group.
